7 Activities Adventurous Kids will love at Camp N Nuvali

CAMP N NUVALI – My children recently attended the birthday of their friend Sam, a seven-year old spunky little girl who wished for something else than the usual princess party. She wanted to celebrate her birthday at Camp N in Nuvali.

Camp N Nuvali

Camp N is Nuvali’s outdoor adventure zone, it’s the place to try out something new, overcome your fears and be active in nature. It is perfect for adventurous girls and boys craving for fresh air and some action!

The whole area covers six hectares, and is full with bike trails, obstacle courses, zip lines, aerial walks, free fall and much more. You pay a small entrance fee, and there are additional fees for each activity.

These are some of the things you can do:

Camp N Nuvali

Since there are height and weight restrictions, children can’t participate in all activities. Sam’s party was at the Adventure Tower which has most activities suitable for little ones. The following activities are highly recommended by the kids:

1. Climbing & Rappell Wall

The Adventure Tower has a Climbing & Rappell Wall where the kids went up all by themselves, safely strapped in their harness. Helmets are provided. Staff holds the other end of the rope to break any fall and to bring them back down.

Still a long way to go

Their goal was to ring the little bell, hanging about halfway on the wall. Can you spot it?

It’s pretty high!

Reached the little bell!

2. Free Fall

The free fall activity is also located at the Adventure Tower. My 11-year old stood on that little platform sticking out on the left side of  the tower, then she stepped off, and fell about 20 metres down. I watched the staff making sure the rope and harness were properly attached,  but I could hardly look as she plunged into the deep. She LOVED it. There is a higher platform for adults.

3. Zip line

This is no ordinary zipline. This is a Rollercoaster Zipline. It goes up, down and curves its way through the trees. According to the kids – the AWESOMEST ride ever! They couldn’t get enough, and went again and again. There is a short and a long one, the short is good for kids.

5. Biking Trails

The 6 hectare land has biking trails all over. You can bring your own mountain bike, or rent from Camp N as they have bikes in all sizes, from kiddie ones to adult sizes. Best to call them ahead to make sure there is one available for you.

Rental fee for the bikes ranges from P 150-200 for 30 minutes to 280-380 for an hour, depending on the size you need. If you bring your own bike, make sure to bring your helmet too! You will not be allowed to ride without a helmet.

6. Archery

Older kids (10 and up) can try out archery. We did not do this, but it looked very cool.

7. Juana Ride & Race

Camp N regularly hosts the Juana Rides and are usually scheduled on the last Sunday of the month. The Juana Ride registration fee includes:
– Camp N entrance
– Camp N and Nuvali guided bike tour
– Mountain Bike Trail Riding Clinic
– Breakfast and Drinks
– SAG (Support and Gear) Vehicle and EMT
– Certificate of Completion
– and a choice of one activity (Aerial Walk / Zipline / Free Fall / Archery) The Juana Rides are open to all genders.

The Juana Race – a no-frills all women bike challenge – is held twice a year. Girls aged 8 and above can join the race. Why not join next time with your daughter?

Other Activities at Camp N Nuvali

There are loads of other activities to do, but not suitable for children. Maybe your teenager could join as long as they meet the height and weight requirements. There is an aerial walk, an obstacle course, a high ladder, cargo net climbing, and low & high ropes. The zipline and free fall also have a longer and higher version for the most adventurous amongst us.
