Jump Yard

Jump, jump, jump! Manila has two indoor trampoline parks. Jump Yard was the first one to open and we've tried it today with a bunch of kids, moms and dads from ManilaForKids.

High jump!

Jump Yard is a 2000 square meter space filled with trampolines (regular and olympic), a slam dunk basketball area, a dodgeball area and a giant foam pit with wall climbing, monkey bars and balance beams. So much fun for children and adults!

Foam pit and trampolines

We decided to take the earliest time slot as children 6 years old and below can only jump on the first opening hour of operations. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. The registration and payment took a while to process, so best to arrive early.

We bought the compulsory grip socks - socks with rubber patches on the sole to prevent slipping- and waited for our jump hour to start. Everyone got excited waiting for their turn and talking about what they would try first.

Once inside, the kids started out at the dodgeball area, throwing soft balls at each other while jumping around.

Wall climbing even for the little ones

Then we tried out the foam pit and it turned out to be their favourite! Right behind the foam pit is a wall climbing area which was good even for the smaller kids. They would climb all the way up and once on the top they jumped down in the foam pit. They thought it was the best thing ever! An attendant was assigned in the foam pit and signalled the kids if it was safe to jump down or that they needed to wait.

There was also a monkey bar area which was a bit challenging, but if they couldn't hold  on anymore, they'd just release and fall in the foam pit. Other things they enjoyed in the foam pit was climbing the rope bag and walking on the balance beam.

The older kids enjoyed the olympic trampolines. You can jump higher, make saltos and land in a foam pit. The slam dunk area was also a big hit. I saw a few big boys trying it out and they seemed to love that one.

Will we be back?

Yes! The kids and adults loved it! It is a good workout for the grown-ups and the children very much enjoyed the endless jumping and especially the foam pit area. They couldn't get enough of it. The attendants were always reminding us to use the trampolines only one person at a time and they seemed very attentive. An hour of jumping was definitely enough for us. I would recommend the owners to open up another slot, just for the little kids and to streamline their payment and registration.

Jumping down from the wall

They allow a  maximum of 100 jumpers inside in one time slot. It seemed a bit cramped in the waiting area but once inside, we hardly had to wait for any activity to free up. If you are not keen to jump, you may also enter the platform to watch your kids (you pay a small fee). Or just stay in the restaurant if they don't need close supervision.

There is a simple but spacious bathroom. They provide slippers to wear inside the bathroom so you won't wet your socks. Please note that the lock in the ladies room was a bit difficult to open, you might not want to let your kids go by themselves.
