12 Kid-Friendly Restaurants in Metro Manila

We are always looking for family friendly restaurants to take the kids to. So, we asked the parents in our Facebook community for their favorites, and these are their recommendations!

1. The Garage at City of Dreams
The Garage is a Virtual Reality Zone and Food Park combined. Choose your food from the wide range of food trucks and trailers, and then play VR games! Popular ones are Mario Kart, Galaga, and try to be the fastest skier in the Ski Rodeo! For most games you'll have to be at least 13 years old, or taller than 140 cm. "We take the kids to DreamPlay and then eat at the Garage. They have fake food trucks in a stylish food court area. There’s something to suit every taste and the kids can run around without annoying anyone". Find The Garage at the City of Dreams, Parañaque.
2. Genki Sushi
Genki Sushi is the Original and Authentic Kaiten Sushi from Japan. You order your food by tablet and it gets delivered to your table by train or race car. "always a favorite for my kids as they cannot get enough from ordering on the the tablet and seeing their food delivered by train. They also have French fries and other food if you're not into sushi. 3. Fireside by Kettle
Fireside by Kettle is an American restaurant known for their comfort food and generous servings. "they have really, really good buttermilk fried chicken fingers with cornbread doughnuts! Kids love them and the serving sizes are huge! Pastas are great, too." "Mac and Cheese, fried chicken and cheese pizza in Kettle and Fireside by Kettle are big favorites among kids so we always go there with our picky eater." 4. Gerry Jeepneys
At Gerry's Jeepney they serve Filipino food: Boodle Fight Style. From inihaw, to sisig, to binagoongang lechon kawali to their own leche flan! Gerry, the owner, is the inspiration for this restaurant, because he is loud, makulay and very Filipino, just like a jeepney.
"with several wooden jeepney replicas in each restaurants to walk through or dine in. Simple but tasty Filipino food. Two branches: in Pasig and Quezon city. Kids can run through the hall with jeepneys, we liked it!"

5. Molito Lifestyle Center
Not just one dining place, Molito Lifestyle Center has plenty of restaurants for families to enjoy! Take your pick from Italian, Cuban, Japanese, Chinese, Filipino and even more types of food. The best part for kids in Molito is that there is space to run around, a lovely grass area for picnics and a water fountain for kids to play in.
" we parents sat at a big table in front of Ralph’s in Molito. Kids sat on picnics blankets in the grass below us. We ordered them pizza and pasta and they ran around having a great time. We adults ordered from the many restaurants around Molito. Easy and great fun!"

6. Amare La Cucina Kapitolyo
Food with heart, made only to make you feel good. With origins from Baguio, Amare La Cucine Kapitolyo serves you high quality wood-fired brick oven pizza, appetizers, entrees and a wide selection of pastas to suit your taste. Quite a few children's birthday parties have been celebrated at their venue. Their placemats are meant to be colored on!
"We recently discovered Amare La Cucina Kapitolyo where kids can make their own pizzas. As in, they teach them how to toss and stretch a pizza."

7. Din Tai Fung
Din Tai Fung was founded in Taiwan in the late 1950s by Bingyi Yang. In the ’70s, he and his wife started selling xiao long bao—steamed soup-filled dumplings. Theirs is considered by many the world's most famous xiao long bao. Did you know that their Hong Kong Branch has been awarded a Michelin star for five consecutive years since 2010? More fun facts:
  • They have a dessert xiaolongbao called the Chocolate Lava Xiaolongbao.
  • A full line of milk teas was recently launched. Kids love the sweet and creamy Brown Sugar Pearl Milk tea.
  • All four (4) shops around Metro Manila have windows where kids can watch the shifus or xiaolongbao experts make the xiaolongbao.
  • Their xiaolongbao mascot is called Bao Babe, who kids can catch in the shops on special occasions. They also have Bao Babe statues in the shops, which guests love to take photos with! He's usually near the shops' main entrance.
  • You can bring home the Din Tai Fung experience with their official merchandise, among which is a tableware set for kids (P950) with prints of Bao Babe and friends!

8. Feta Mediterranean
Feta Mediterranean offers authentic Mediterranean food, baked in their unique brick oven, that will give you the run for your taste buds! They provide washable markers and white boards in their kids area to keep them entertained. There are also soy crayons if kids prefer to draw on placemats while waiting for food to be served. Get mesmerized by their blazing Souvlaki Sampler! "has a kids area with table and chairs, pens and papers. Kids can make their own pizza with the pizza chef too!" 9. Cibo
CIBO is a modern, Italian caffé concept in Metro-Manila, created by 2016 Asia's Best Female Chef Margarita Forés. She learned a home-style approach to cooking from three Italian signoras. That influence is still found in Cibo' wide range of authentic Italian dishes. Ask about their Club Bimbi membership for kids upto 12 years old! 10. PizzaExpress
PizzaExpress has been making pizzas since 1965 in London. They're famous for their fresh, handcrafted pizzas and baked dough balls. "My child loves the pizza so much, accommodating crews and very child friendly" Find PizzaExpress at Uptown Mall BGC and SM Megamall.

11. Pancake House
Pancake House is an institution in the Philippines, serving families since the seventies all sorts of comfort food. With over 100 franchises in the country and overseas, there will always be one near you.
"For cheap comfort food, my daughter can and will never get enough of Pancake House. fried chicken and small soldier pancakes. Neverending."

12. Stacy's Home Cafe
Stacy's is the best diner if you're looking for pastel colored cuteness overload. They serve a multi-cuisine from breakfast to dinner while kids play in the play area. No wonder why this place is popular for birthday parties!
