We got to be one of the few first to test the new IMAX with Laser cinema offered by Vista Cinemas at Evia Lifestyle Center. The mall now houses the very first IMAX theater with Laser, in Southeast Asia.

IMAX with Laser

The IMAX new Laser technology gives the audience sharper images, increased brightness, striking contrast, vibrant colours and powerful sounds. We were told that since the images are of such crisp quality, it greatly enhances the 3D experience. Normally, we aren't the fondest of 3D because it makes us dizzy at times. We learned that it's mostly caused by distorted images and insufficient contrast, so this laser technology should help take care of that part. Sitting in the back of the theater also helps. And we must say, we thoroughly enjoyed Wreck-It Ralph: Breaks the Internet in 3D in this new theater. We had no queasy feelings at all and it felt we were part of Vanellope and Ralph's adventures. The seats are big and comfy and they also recline a bit. Great experience for us all!

Wreck-It Ralps: Breaks the Internet

Wreck-It Ralph: Breaks the Internet is the sequel to the cartoon movie of the same title that came out six years ago. This time, we meet again Ralph, also known as Wreck-it Ralph and Vanellope, the beloved arcade characters on a new adventure as a new device is plugged in the arcade. The device itself is the Internet. This will take them on a quest to save Vanellope's game from being thrown away. The movie reflects on the impact of one person on the internet, and how the internet influences people. But also how even friendship can be sometimes challenged when friends don't always share the same dreams and goals. It is a movie filled with laughter and happiness. It is a great moment to spend time together as a family and is, of course, suitable for any ages.
