The Science Film Festival features science & technology films from all over the world presented in an entertaining and comprehensible way for children aged 6-14 years. In the Philippines, the festival takes place from November 12-December 7, 2018. Read on for information on where and when to watch these films with your kids.

Spreading Knowledge Through Entertainment
The Science Film Festival is organized by Goethe-Institut with the support from the Department of Education (DepEd), the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), SM Cinema, and GMA Network. The festival officially opens on November 12, 2018 with a special screening of the award-winning documentary special of GMA Public Affairs hosted by Atom Araullo, “Philippine Seas“. The documentary features the exploration and expedition on the 13-million hectare Philippine Rise and its potentially rich source of natural gas and other resources.
Opening Science Film Festival 2018

Dr. Ulrich Nowak-Goethe-Institut Philippinen, and Dr. Ruby Christobal-DOST-SEI, opened the Science Film Festival 2018 with the director and producer of "Philippine Seas".

This 2018, the Science Film Festival in the Philippines, invites visitors to enjoy 30 science films and to explore the theme, “FOOD REVOLUTION”. With this year’s theme, the festival aims to discuss one of the biggest dangers to the planet which is our need for food and the hard truth in meeting the demands of a fast growing global population.
